Whatever your property needs

A single repair or a whole project, for homeowners, farms, builders and businesses. When a job needs more than one of these, one outfit handles all of it, on one schedule.

Forestry Mulching

A tracked mulcher grinds brush, saplings and small trees into a layer of mulch that stays on site, holds the soil and breaks down naturally.

  • Lot and trail clearing
  • Fence lines, right-of-ways and power lines
  • Invasive and overgrowth removal
  • Hunting lanes and food plots
  • Steep grade and pond bank mulching by excavator

Our excavator-mounted mulching head reaches up steep slopes, ditch banks and pond edges from stable ground, where a skid steer can't safely go.

Material: up to 8 in dia.Steep & wet: excavator headHauling: none

Land Clearing

Full clearing for home sites, farms and commercial pads. Trees down, stumps out, roots raked and the ground left ready for grading.

  • Tree removal and stump grubbing
  • Root raking and debris haul-off
  • Selective clearing to save the good trees
  • Erosion and sediment controls set first
Lots: ¼ acre to 100+Stumps: pulled or ground

Septic Install & Repair

New systems, replacements and repairs, from the perc test and design paperwork to setting the tank and building the drain field.

  • Conventional and BAT nitrogen-reducing systems
  • Drain field repair and replacement
  • Tank, baffle, riser and line repairs
  • Coordination with the county health department

Stormwater Management

Water goes where it should, not into your basement or your neighbor's yard. We build to the approved plan and to state erosion and sediment control standards.

  • Swales, ditches and culvert pipe
  • French drains and dry wells
  • Retention and detention ponds
  • Silt fence, stabilized entrances, inlet protection

General Excavation

Digging, moving and shaping ground for any job, big or small, with laser grading so the finish is right the first time.

  • Footings, foundations and building pads
  • Yard regrading, cut and fill, topsoil
  • Driveways, farm lanes and stone bases
  • Ponds, trenching and water, sewer and electric lines

Demolition

Houses, barns, sheds, chicken houses, foundations and slabs taken down safely, hauled away and the site backfilled and graded.

  • Residential and agricultural structures
  • Concrete slab and foundation removal
  • Pool and tank removal and backfill
  • Utility disconnect coordination

We keep the schedule

Our own crew and equipment means no waiting weeks on subcontractors.

Questions

What people ask us

Don't see yours? Put it in the estimate form and we'll answer it on the site walk.

What's the difference between forestry mulching and land clearing?

Mulching grinds vegetation in place and leaves the mulch on the ground. It's faster, cheaper and better for erosion, and works for brush and trees up to about 8 inches. Land clearing removes everything, including big trees and stumps, so the ground is ready for a foundation, septic or driveway. Many lots get a mix of both.

Can you mulch steep banks or around a pond?

Yes. We run a mulching head on an excavator, so the machine sits on flat, solid ground while the arm reaches up the slope or out over the bank. It's the safe way to clear steep grades, ditch banks, dams and pond edges without tearing up the ground or putting a machine in the water.

How do I know if my septic system is failing?

Common signs are slow drains, gurgling pipes, sewage smell in the yard, soggy or extra-green grass over the drain field, or backups into the house. If you're seeing any of those, call us. A failing system usually gets worse fast and can contaminate your well.

Do I need a BAT septic system?

In Maryland, many new and replacement systems, especially near the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, need a Best Available Technology unit that reduces nitrogen. Your county health department decides based on location. We'll tell you what's required for your property, and grant money is often available to help cover the cost.

Do you handle the permits?

Yes. We file for septic, grading and stormwater approvals, schedule inspections and call Miss Utility to mark lines before any digging. If your job needs an engineered plan, we work from it or connect you with an engineer we trust.

My yard floods every time it rains. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes. Depending on the cause, that might mean regrading, a swale, a French drain, a culvert under the driveway or a dry well. We look at where the water comes from and where it can legally go before we recommend anything.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on acreage, density, soils, access and what's being built. Every estimate is free and in writing after we see the property, with each task priced so you can compare and adjust scope.
